Pacific Electric Penthouse Building



This building built in 1905 is one of the most important landmarks, both architecturally and culturally, in Downtown Los Angeles' Historic Core. The Pacific Electric This Historical Building is located at 6th and Main Streets in Los Angeles. The building was designed as the transit hub and main offices for the Pacific Electric Railway, which for a time was the largest interurban railway in the world.

In its penthouse, the building also originally housed the Jonathan Club. At nine stories in height, the building is among the city's early high-rise structures, and until late 1905 the largest building in the western United States.
